Patient Review 1:

My son, 17 just had his 4 wisdom teeth removed. We can not express enough how good the results are. First of all Dr. Matouk and his staff are so professional and nice that you feel very comfortable. The procedure took less than one hour. He went to the recovery room where they monitored him. He was fine very quickly. He had IV sedation and had no side effects from the anesthesia. When we went home he had almost no bleeding. He had very little pain two hours after and took his first painkiller pill and took 2 more just the first day (total painkiller pills: 3). The first night he had mashed potatoes and scrambled eggs. The day after was even better, no pain at all he could open his mouth almost fully and eat all meals in a puree form. From the start he could chew very well with his front teeth and had absolutely no pain. Today, Sunday he is feeling even better than yesterday. He keeps taking his antibiotics and anti-inflammatory. By the way we forgot to mention that his face is not even swollen. We are thrilled we found Dr. Matouk and his Staff and we highly recommend him. We will go back with our other son (15) if he needs to have his wisdom teeth removed. My son did so well because Dr. Matouk is an excellent oral Surgeon.

I came to Dr.Matouk with a severely impacted canine that unfortunately had to be removed. Normally I am terrified of Dentists and such procedures, but Dr.Matouk's staff was so kind, warm and understanding that it really did help me feel more comfortable. I did not have reliable transportation and hence i had to take the city bus..which got me there an hour early. I was prepared to wait and browse the internet on my phone in their extremely comfortable waiting room for that hour. But they saw me about 45 minutes early, Dr.Matouk made sure to make me feel comfortable and secure in asking me questions and answering any that i had for him, I really felt confident in my choice of surgeon. He made ABSOLUTELY sure that the Novocaine had completely taken effect and numbed me out, moreso than any other dentist or surgeon i've ever been to. He was very fast and precise in the procedure...i could not believe that it was already done and over and that it was completely pain free. Thank You Doctor Matouk I will always recommend you to family/friends. I was so impressed with your professional services and awesome staff (warm, kind, caring) that I really felt like i had to write this review and let everyone know.

In the initial consultation Dr. Matouk analyzed my teeth with a cat scan-like X-ray and took the time to answer all my questions. He removed all 4 of my wisdom teeth without any complications. I was worried because one of my teeth was resting right beside the nerve in my jaw, but he managed to get it out without disrupting the nerve. The staff in his office was very nice and kept me informed on what my insurance would cover before we began the procedure. My recovery was not as bad as I thought it would be. I only had pain and slight swelling for 1 day. Thereafter, I just had soreness of gums and the usual recovery time. So all in all, I would definitely recommend Dr. Matouk for wisdom tooth removal.

I have been in the denatl field for 37 years, as an assistant, Office manager and hygienist. Over the years I have delt with many Oral Surgeons on a professional basis. I could have chosen any number of qualified surgeons to extract my son's wisdom teeth. In fact I did have a consult with another area professional, but I felt completely at easy after meeting Dr. matouk for the first time. Although I had been aware of his reputation for years, I had never met him.

Dr. Matouk has an amazingly calm nature and answered all my son's questions and made him feel completely at ease with his first experience with dental treatment of any kind, let alone general anesthesia.

His office staff is wonderful, always ready to help and did all the leg work with my insurance company, as an office manager myself, I know what a chore that can be.

In short, I feel extremely comfortable in recommending his services to all my patients and will certainly do so in the future.

For a change I was a patient yesterday and had all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Matouk. I am a 31 year old Dental Assistant with 14 years experience in the field of General Dentistry. I know of many oral surgeons throughout my career and could have chosen to see many of the oral surgeons that our office has referred patients to in the last 14 years in all of Broward, Dade, and Palm Beach counties. There was no doubt in my mind that my number one and only choice was Dr. Matouk. I had an amazing experience with the office staff and Dr. Matouk. My first time having "major" treatment done with local anesthetic was with Dr. Matouk who did an EXCELLENT job! I did not feel a thing. I was amazed, I felt no pain during or after my extractions, best of all I had absolutely no swelling. Dr. Matouk is such an amazing person. Just last week I went in to get two upper wisdom teeth pulled, #5 and #16 pulled because they were broken, and a bone graft on each side of my mouth done and it only took no longer than 45 mins and i was in no pain before and afterwards. I didn't have any swelling what so ever! I couldn't believe how nervous I was just thinking about all those things that I needed done when really i had nothing to worry about because he made everything sound simple and he reassured me that it will be fine. The cost for my procedure was reasonable and with the help of my insurance, everything worked out great. The staff members were absolutely sweet and made me feel so relaxed. Thank you all for putting up with me at Dr. Matouk's office and to Dr. Matouk..you are a genius!!

It is Nov 11 2008 Just yesterday I took my Fiancee to Dr. Matouk for a consultation on her 3 wisdom teeth that she need to get removed. Dr. Matouk did find that her teeth did need just that, and instead of leting her stay in pain he cleared a part of his schedule , to work around our schedule for later on in the day to do the surgery. Dr. matouk and his wonderful staff from the front office with Mimi and Miriam, to the wonderful nurse Donna that took care of my Fiancee is a cut above the rest . They are very informative and professional in the way that they operate their office. I have been around the health care industry for a number of years and I have yet to come across a oral surgeon or doctor that is like Dr. Matouk and his staff. If you are reading this to find a oral surgeon please take my advice and see Dr. Matouk I promise you will not be sorry. To let you know if you were wondering my Fiancee is an actual patient of Dr. Matouk , and I will be to if I ever need his services.

I recently visited Dr. Matouk to have my wisdom tooth extracted, and I must say that although the procedure itself can be very scary...it was a VERY pleasant experience! Dr. Matouk and his staff made me feel so comfortable and were extremely patient and kind. I was greeted with a smile and the establishment was very clean and comfortable. I left with a smile ~ even though it was a numb one, it was a genuine one! I will return to him for all my future needs and I highly recommend him.

I highly recommend Dr. Matouk. During my initial consultation, I knew right away I made the right choice. Dr. Matouk takes the time to explain everything in detail. I had three wisdom teeth extracted over a week ago and I have not had any pain or discomfort. Dr. Matouk has amazing chair-side manners. Dr Matouk's office was amazing. It is my second day after having gotten my wisdom teeth pulled and I feel great. I had no pain. The surgery only lasted 45 minutes. Everyone in the office from the nurse to the woman at the front desk is really nice and makes you feel comfortable. Dr. Matouk is probably the best oral surgeon in South Florida! I highly recommend going to him

I recently was told by my dentist that I needed 2 of my wisdom teeth removed,....being a daughter of a Dr. I HATE dentists,... Anyway, my dentist recommened Dr. Matouk. Upon meeting him, I felt comfortable and confident with his professionalism and moved forth in removing all four wisdom teeth.

Dr. Matouk did an excellent job removing my wisdom teeth yesterday July 15th 2008. I did not feel any pain, nor do I feel any pain. I have NO swelling and am extremely grateful I fell into his hands for this removal. Thank you Dr. Matouk!!!!

If you must see an oral surgeon, do not hesitate to go to Dr. Matouk. I recently had bone graft surgery in preperation for an implant, and I had it done under local anesthesia.

Though the procedure is quite involved (and somewhat scary), I felt at ease with Dr. Matouk. He takes the time to explain everything in detail, and he helps you to weigh your options. Nothing is ever forced or rushed. He is extremely talented and knowledgeable, and his staff is courteous and professional at all times.

I don't know if his services are the cheapest or the most expensive, but for this kind of procedure I don't think I would chose a doctor according to who offered the cheapest price.

I highly recommend Dr Matouk.

Dr. Matouk was professional, kind and did an excellent job on my wisdom extract procedure. I had them all removed with no problems. Some of the usual swelling and discomfort, but that is unaviodable. He starts you on medications a few days prior to surgery to help your body fight off infection and control swelling. It worked!

Finally, six months after my extraction, I went for my usual cleaning and the hygenist asked when I was going to have my wisdoms removed. I told her I already did and she was stunned to say the least. She could not believe the way the gums appeared and said she had never seen anyone without the visible signs of surgery. She said they are usually visible for a year.

So, he is awesome and I would recommend him to anyone in need of oral surgery!

Dr. Matouk was recommended to me by my regular dentist Dr. Eduardo Blanco who told me he sent his own daughter to him. Dr. Blanco knows well my neurosis in regards to pain anxiety. I was up front with Dr. Matouk and at my request, he made arrangements for my molar extraction to be done with IV sedation. It was such a positive experience that, as long as I can find Dr. Matouk, I will never again fear an extraction. The procedure was done on Thursday and I didn't even need his prescribed pain killers once since.

The office was ultra-clean and I haven't seen such professionalism in a surgical office within the south Florida area in a long , long time. After my consultation visit a month ago, they sent me out of the office with both prescriptions I might need so that I wouldn't have to be waiting for a fill of the presciption after surgery. At the same time, the office help explained fully to me what they anticipated the insurance would pay so that I would have no surprises at the time of the procedure. I was so impressed at their professionalism that, I am anticipating a future visit with him for possible eye lid surgery. I have total faith in his staff and his medical knowledge.

Dr. Matouk and his staff are a rare find now days- their service exceeded my expectations and the dedication that I received from him and his staff is beyond comparison. I would not think twice about recommending him for any oral surgery that you or one of your loved ones may need. He was always courteous towards me and very understanding of my needs as a patient. I would never use another oral surgeon and would definitely say that this is one of the best experiences I have had with a doctor. I would not sacrifice an excellent and individualized service for a lower alternative. A great service and friendly staff also added to the overall experience.
