When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
  • Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
  • Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description, special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
  • Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
  • Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors. Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

Cost Estimate: $7000-1000 depending upon insurance and complexity. Tough to say without a true consultation. Good Luck
hello

the answer to your question may have several different answers although I don''''t think that any of them will be "cheap". If your problem resides in a skeletal (bony) overgrowth of your upper jaw bone, then traditioannly it can be corrected in a surgical operation in conjunction with orthodontic therapy (i.e. braces). This is called Orthognathic Surgery. I your case, without evaluating you first, I can only guess that you would require what er call a LeFort I impaction of your upper jaw. There is plently of literature which you can find on the internet, but I would direct you to my website (www.bocjaws.com)which gives an animated video presentation and over view of these types of procedures. Sometimes a picture is worth a thousnad words. You can also reference the AAOMS (American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon) at www.aaoms.org

There are many highly trained Oral Surgeons in the area and you need to consult with a few in order to feel as comfortable as possible. I would recommend Me, Dr. Michel Matouk, Drs. Kurt Friedman and Cardenas, Dr. Joseph McCain, Dr. Steven Holmes, just to name a few. The advatage that you may find with a practitioner like myself is that I work intimately with the orthodontists under the same roof so there is excellent communication and teammanship. Other less invasive treatment options may or may not be available. it would be my pleasure to speak with you more if interested. Email me. All my best, Dr. Ronald Katz

The simple answer is yes. The next answer is it depends on if it is a gum issue or a skeletal issue. If its simply a gum issue, I would say see a good periodontist. Dr. DeTure and Dr. McCauley in Lauderdale are great. If it is a skeletal issue, then you may need more than just gums taken cared of, and you would actually need to retract the upper jaw bone. Is it expensive? Well money is all relative and if its something that would make you happy in life long term, then it is worth it. Also we all offer nowadays financing for expensive procedures. The next thing would be a consult for veneers once the gum tissue is removed. with more exposed tooth, there may be wide spaces or black triangles in between the teeth.

hope it helps

if you have a gummy smile, there is a procedure which lengthens your teeth. the specialist you need is periodontist and the fees depend on your particular situation.

Yes there is a procedure which can correct this problem. It is called a gingivectomy. It can be performed at Smile Central. Your existing dentist can let you know if he or she does this procedure.

The price range can vary among dentists and upon the the number of teeth involved. $250-$1250 is normal range.

Thank you for your Question and remember to SmileStrong!
