When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
  • Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
  • Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description, special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
  • Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
  • Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors. Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

If tooth is fractured, it needs to be evaluated to determine whether or not it is restorable. If it is not, it will need to be extracted. Your options include placement of a dental implant (best treatment) or fabrication of a fixed or removable prosthesis (bridge or flipper).

Placement of an implant is usually the best treatment because you do not have to alter adjacent teeth which can lead to potential need for root canals and unecessary damage. If the adjacent teeth are already compromised, then a bridge may be a reasonable alternative.

We would be happy to evaluate you. You can call to make an appointment. If you are in pain, it would be best that you are seen today because of the holiday weekend. You can contact our office at 561 886-0288 and ask for Barbara, the office manager. Hopefully this was helpful. Be well. Dr. Ronald Katz

Cost Estimate: $695 crown, 1750 implant
Hi, I am not sure if you already took care of this tooth --- a few things here -- if it is broken not too badly, it may be able to be fixed with a crown. If it is broken really badly, it may need to be extracted and can be replaced with a dental implant.

I offer my patients CEREC one visit crowns - no need for temporaries -- using CAD-CAM technology. The crown is made in the office. The cost not including a post, build up or root canal (if needed) is $695 for the crown.

If it needs to be extracted, the cost of the implant from start to finish is $1750 for the implant and $225 for the extraction. For implants, we can often do the implant in two visits complete because of the CAD-CAM technology --- first visit place the implant and stitch up the gum... then wait 2-3 monthes and second visit uncover the implant in the gum, place an abutment connector, take images using the CAD-CAM machine and create the all porcelain crown in the machine - takes 20 minutes to mill. Sometimes, bone grafting is needed which is a few hundreds extra (if needed). All implants are placed by a periodontist is my office and we do have a lifetime warranty on the implant components from the manufacturer.

We do offer complimentary consultations. Please see my website - www.terrificsmilespb.com
