Six implants were placed in my edentulous maxilla after sinus lifts and bone augmentation, at a cost of $40,000.
My prosthodontist favors a spark-erosion prosthesis as a restoration and received half his fee, $15,000.
It didn't fit. He apologized, made modifications, replaced porcelain teeth with acrylic. It's still not a good fit. He wants half the remaining balance, $7000, before attempting another minor 'modification' .
A $3000.Complicated Case fee is part of the cost but after four disappointing months for both of us, I feel the restoration is beyond his abilities. What can I do?
